10 Fastest Cars in GTA Online (2026) — Tested Speed Rankings

· Category: update

What Are the Fastest Cars in GTA Online Right Now?

Quick answer: The Bravado Banshee GTS with HSW upgrades is the fastest car in GTA Online at 172.50 MPH (277.6 km/h). Reaching that top speed requires a $1,245,000 base purchase plus a $1,900,000 HSW upgrade - roughly $3.1M total - and is only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. On non-HSW platforms, the Benefactor Krieger at 127.75 MPH is the fastest option, and the Dewbauchee Vagner at 126.50 MPH offers the strongest value for money.

Speed matters in GTA Online. Whether you're escaping a heist, racing for pink slips, or just showing off, you need the fastest car available. This ranking sorts every top contender strictly by tested top speed, so the numbers on the page match the order they're presented in.

Sources & methodology

Top-speed figures used in this ranking come from repeated straight-line runs on the LSIA runway with maximum performance upgrades installed, HSW tuning applied where the vehicle supports it, and low-grip tyres removed. Where our internal testing tracks community reference data, we reconcile to Broughy1322's public speed tests, the long-running standard for GTA Online lap and top-speed data. Full methodology, verification cadence, and how we resolve conflicting results is documented on our About / methodology page.
